The excursion will introduce students from Poland and Germany to historical and archaeological research on Otto of Bamberg. Otto’s missionary journeys to Pomerania in 1124/25 and 1128 are of historical significance for both countries. Otto created the conditions for a lasting christianization of this region on the coast of the Baltic Sea.
Look forward to the book, the excursion participants will write collaboratively afterwards. It will be published on the occasion of Otto’s 900th anniversary in 2024.
