Sunflower Field

Artist talk und social gardening event with Diana Lelonek, participating artist of the exhibition “Dorothea von Stetten Art Award 2022 – Young Art from Poland” (16.06. – 4.09.2022). Diana Lelonek explores relationships between humans and other species. Her projects are critical responses to the processes of over-production, unlimited growth, and our approach to the environment. She uses photography, living matter, and found objects, creating work that is interdisciplinary and often appears at the interface of art and science. As part of the exhibition, Diana’s plan was to create a garden of ruderal plants, weeds and mushrooms on a small area in front of the museum. As a sign of solidarity for Ukraine, we will now sow sunflower seeds here. The event will take place outside, meeting point in front of the entrance towards Emil Nolde Straße. The participation is free of charge and there’s no registration required. The conversation will be held in English.
