The third edition of our Summer.Film.Academy will take place in Görlitz-Weinhübel from 24 July to 6 August. Once again, we are focusing on encouraging new talent from the region and beyond. Parallel to this, we offer a program for film professionals and would like to expand and strengthen the increasing internationalisation of our project in connection with growing cooperation and networking. Together with our new cooperation partnerships in Poland, the Czech Republic and Ukraine, we promote the exchange of knowledge and experience and connect young filmmakers far beyond national borders. We are creating a place where professionals and young filmmakers can produce films together at the same eye level, learn from each other and celebrate the resulting films in a premiere at the end of the two weeks. The participants will primarily work on social, bio-graphic or political topics of Lusatia, the Sorbian settlement areas, the border triangle of Germany, Poland and the Czech Republic and the Euroregion Neisse and process them into film material (fictional or documentary), which they will then directly realise in practice. In specific master classes and a program for young filmmakers, we offer workshops and a varied supporting program with public evening events.
